Points-Scoring/Series Awards

If six LPYC boats races, then the first place boat will be awarded six (6) points.
Second place, five (5) points, etc...

However, the minimum points awarded to a first place boat will be three (3) points; Minimum points awarded for second place is two (2) points; Minimum points awarded for third place is one (1) point.  Minimum Scores will always be based on the assumpton that three (3) boats compete.  This way, if one boat shows up and races around the course, and everyone else chooses to stay home, the boat will earn three (3) participation points. Starting, but not finishing will award you (1) point.

Email your exact start and finish times to Jim.P.Stevenson@gmail.com
Start times will be established from race to race as discussed previously.

Socializing after the Race:
This is an extremely important part of the Race Series.  We will meet after the race at the Emerald Bay Marina Yacht Club.  Bring your own beverages and snacks to enjoy and we can decide as a group if we'd rather order a pizza or pickup burgers, etc for dinner.

Awards:
We will try and arrange for a hand painted wine glass for first and second place series winners, to possibly be awarded at the annual membership meeting in January.
