MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: Rick Walker, John Springer, Rich Munson, Ashley Tackett, and Lynn Easley.

The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.

Financial Report
Receipts:
Receipts for 2021 through August 11th were $1,900.00, which are current year dues from nineteen members.
Disbursements:
Disbursements for 2021 through August 11th were $713.80 for operations and $463.26 for capital as follows:
Operations:
$400.00 Storage Locker.
$202.06 Social-Cheeseburger in Paradise and Hot Dogs dock parties.
$100.00 Slip Rental.
$11.74 Trophy Engraving.
Capital:
$136.08 Pontoon Boat Repairs.
$327.18 Hoist ($230.00 for a contractor to free the %@*&^$).
For operations, we have a cash surplus of $1,186.20.
General Comments:
The cash balance as of August 11, 2021 is $16,836.98. The cash balance at this time last year was $15,779.61 and at year end was $16,114.04.
Treasures report accepted by acclimation.
Officer and Director Reports.
John Springer – With the assistance of a welder and his crew, they were able to break the mast crane free and were able to get it swung out. It is still difficult to rotate the crane, so it will be left in the out position to be usable by sailboats.
Rich Munson – Discussed having a 3rd Friday Social event at On The Dock location which is owned by a former member and has indicated re-joining. Rick Walker will talk with him later this week. Also reviewed options for watching next years 4th of July fireworks from the point located at Emerald Bay.
Also discussed possible menu choices and number of confirmed attendees to have a buffet or special orders at the events.
Ashley Tackett – Ross Hayes will be on location until the October- November time frame. Ashley will try schedule a date during those months for Ross Hayes to do his meteorological presentation.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
Ashley Tackett asked to be removed from the waiting list as she will be trailering out the boat to make some needed repairs.
Updates on Possible Presentations and Events:
John Springer noted that Tyler Yacht Club set their date for their fall regatta for October 9th. Any members wishing to participate or assist with the event are welcomed. The LPYC regatta is currently scheduled for October 23rd, and the Fall turkey Race is scheduled for November 13th. The venue for the Christmas party at Eagle’s Buff has been confirmed for December 10th.
Ashley Tackett will set up a day in the October to November date range for Ross Hayes meteorological presentation.
New Business
Prospective New Members:
One possible new member has indicated they would join, but as of yet, hasn’t. Another couple has asked for a sailboat ride to see if its something they would enjoy. Rich Munson will contact them and set up a time and date for a sail on his boat.
Date and Time of Next Meeting:
The next monthly meeting is currently scheduled for September 8th at noon, and the board approved moving the location to 1836 Texas Kitchen for the next meeting.
